Reality: If the GOP actually wanted any health care reform, why didn't they do it when
they were completely in charge? They didn't, and they don't (of course).

I'm sick of them pretending they do want some sort of plan when they don't. Liars.

1. The key word here is "IF".
They've never wanted health care reform. Their insurance company owners told them so. Since they've never wanted it, they wouldn't have done it.

That goes for other things as well, the most obvious of which is abortion. They've had complete control of the WH, Congress, and the USSC and never made a move toward banning abortion. Why? They don't want to do away with one of their most successful campaign themes! If abortion was banned, how would they get the bible-thumpers fired up for the elections?

Or how about the deficit? Reagan quadrupled it in his first year in office. Clinton is the only one to have brought it down since. The shrub blew it out of the water and hid his pet wars from the deficit number. Cheney even quoted Reagan as saying "deficits don't matter" a few years ago. A Democrat gets back in the WH and all of a sudden, the GOP is worried about deficits! I am just shocked :sarcasm:

2. They did do the Medicare Alternative without adequate funding
Also made it illegal to bargain for lower drug prices.

4. IF tort reform was the magic wand to make it all better WHY didn't they pass it?
I was thinking the same exact thing while watching this political thespian match. :eyes:
