2. On TV, I saw news of a refinery fire
didn't catch the whole story, may have been in OK (not sure). But I expect it's a great excuse to jack prices.

3. At first I thought you were telling us how gas prices are reported
Edited on Sun Apr-29-07 05:47 AM by Eagle_Eye
The media makes a big deal about a small decrease in price and tells us the president is doing his job.
Then gas prices increase ten times the previous decrease and the media is silent and covers with a story about an actor's phone call to his daughter.
While this reporting of the 'news' is going on, some right wing nut job on talk radio is lambasting the 'Liberal Media' for not reporting the news.
I can't wait for bush to be gone. I would like to see bush impeached very soon.

7. Up 8 cents in less than 48 hours here
My fuel low warning came on on Thursday evening, so I filled my tank at $3.01.9 (42.25 for my car, a mid size passenger sedan)

Friday morning on my way to work, it was up to 305.9. Yesterday afternoon, it was 309.9.

I have to go out later- it'll probably be $3.13.9

Can't help but wonder what forces were behind that latest round of price increases.......

9. GREED
That's always the force behind the increase, using the flimsiest of excuses, a refinery fire, 172 saudis arrested, switching over from winter, it's always greed.

12. Skyrocketing.
It's just unbelievable how high gas prices are soaring now. I bought gas last Monday (the 23rd) for $2.73 a gallon. By Friday (the 27th), all over the Boulder/Longmont area, gas had risen to $2.89 per gallon. That's a 16 cent increase in four days.

Every time I drive and see that arrow on my fuel meter slowly sinking past the 1/2 tank mark, it hurts a little inside.

15. We're usually about the lowest in the country (Okla) but it went up 15 cents last night
2.99 for the cheapest I could find (mostly water with little chunks of crap in it - Jonathan Winter). Diesel is 3.25
