GREEN OAK TOWNSHIP -- Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney started a two-day campaign swing through Michigan by accusing Democrats of surrendering in the Iraq war.

Romney said the United States must defeat the Islamic jihad movement, and that President Bush will do whatever it takes to protect the American people.

"When we're dealing with nations of the world, we stand united,'' Romney said Friday night at the Livingston County Lincoln Day Dinner at the Barnstormer Banquet Center on M-36 in Green Oak Township.

Actually having a plan is inexplicably wrong, but not having a plan and doing the same thing over and over again is right? It is just "stay the coarse" rhetoric with surrender thrown in for spice.

can these guys really not appreciate the absolute idiocy of that expression? I mean, really! They have been to college, most of them can walk and chew gum at the same time. And yet they spout this quixotic nonsense as if it were a rallying cry to go win the superbowl or something.

Not only is it not fascism, which is when corporations run the country (like what we have, pretty much), but using Islamic as an adjective in this case is completely incorrect.

If they wanted to be more truthful, they'd call them Muslim-theologists, but, you see, that doesn't have that "oomph," that savoir faire, that they're looking for when corralling the sheeple.
