More Whitehouse officials about to get snagged in prostitution scandal
Many of you have probably already heard about Randall Tobias, Bush's condom hating Deputy Secretary of State who preached about how abstinence only education was the best way to stop AIDS in Africa until he was recently caught calling up prostitutes. Well it looks like he was just the tip of the iceberg.

ABC: Brian, I know you were the only reporter to talk to Tobias late this week before his resignation. What did you learn from him?

ROSS: Well, David, I talked to him one day before he resigned and told him that we had found his name and personal phone number on a list of clients of the so-called DC Madam’s escort service in Washington. And what he told me was that he in fact had been a customer of the service, but that he had not had sex. He had had what he called gals come over to his condo to give him a massage. He claimed there was no sex but that he was stunned by the fact that we were aware he was a client and that was his conversation. I asked him if he knew any of the young women, their names. He said he didn’t remember them at all. He said it was like ordering pizza.

ABC: You know, we understand his name is just one of many connected to the case of the DC Madam, as you mentioned. Why does she want the names to be made public?

ROSS: Well, she has been charged by federal prosecutors with running a prostitution service. She says it wasn’t prostitution, it was fantasy sex, legal sex, and she wants to call all of her prominent clients to testify. One, she says, it’s hypocritical of the government to go after her and the women who worked for her. And two, she wants them to testify as to whether there was or was not sex. And she’s intent on doing this. She’s turned down an opportunity to take a four-month prison sentence, plea out the arrangement. She wants to go to trial.

ABC: And Brian, I presume there are others on this list who will turn heads?

ROSS: There are thousands of names, tens of thousands of phone numbers, and there are people there at the Pentagon, lobbyists, others at the White House, prominent lawyers — a long, long list, and as well, the women who work for the service, David, include university professors, legal secretaries, scientists, military officers.

I can't wait to see what Dobson and company have to say about this one.

3. Who thinks this is going to go beyond the GOP
You'd really have to be a serious homer to not believe some Democrats aren't going to be named in this. What's more, not all of the names are going to legitimate. This is legal blackmail and it's going to get real ugly fast. Be careful what you wish for.

5. No I don't think it will be all GOP...
Although probably most of it will be because they were talking mainly about Pentagon and White House officials, those using the service may share it with others on their own side but they sure don't want the opposition knowing they are calling up prostitutes.

There will probably be some Democrats caught up as well, but the Democrats will not be hurt as bad because the Democrats never used sexual morality and family values as a way to win votes.

18. Yes it will be some Democrats involved but I would venture to say with the hang-up
Republicans have on sex the very great Majority will be Republicans. I think the bigger scandal will be who the Prostitutes turn out to be. Lawyers, Professors, Military Officers and I would bet some wives will be involved....

motives to lie. She will support the men who say there were only massages.

8. It's a bigger scandal::::: With Lobbyist involved
It's almost a certain that the lobbyist hired the service for others; such as politicians. That will be the bigger scandal.

9. Having the nasty mind that I do...
Which comes from being a keen student of the human condition, I wonder how fantastic the fantasies were.

Something tells me the phrases "ball gag" and "jumbo butt plug" are not outside the realm of real probability. ;-)

10. Must have been a satisfying pizza
Calling an escort service for fantasy sex is like ordering a pizza?

Why am I not surprised that a Republican doesn't have the imagination to have a better fantasy?

11. It's Interesting To Note That The Madam Says It Wasn't Prostitution.....
in order to say she did nothing illegal and that she wants the clients to testify that they didn't experience illegal sex or prostitution. So she's using her clients to get her off the hook and it is in their best interest to say it wasn't prostitution to get them off the hook. Win - Win situation here. It's in everybody's best interest to say it wasn't prostitution. Cool!!!!!

Under President Bush, Tobias oversaw a program helping men in poor countries “develop healthy relationships with women.”

15. So, do you all think that this is lobbyst centered and controlled?
Edited on Sun Apr-29-07 09:55 AM by higher class
If some deserve more perks than others, then there must be a spreadsheet somewhere.

If lobbyist centered, then Dems could certainly be in on it. Those votes supporting lobbyist interests were for 'naught'? Don't think so.

We should be looking for more people resigning their committe chairs? HOWEVER, I notice that Brian Ross did not include congrees in his lists of particpants.
