Listening to Evan Bayh on Charlie Rose, he doesn't get it either. |

Saying that you don't tackle this when the economy is bad - you wait. Saying that Obama overreached, miscalculated.
As George Bailey says so eloquently in "It's a Wonderful Life"... "Wait? Wait for what?" Doesn't it bother politicians that many people are dying as they play their games? Obviously not.
Why, when people discuss this or think about this, the target of good health care - the people - especially the people who don't have coverage - are completely forgotten in the fog of politics and economics?
It does not make sense. We can't afford increasing health care costs. But we can't afford to fix health care.
All politics, pure and simple. No different than denial of climate change, really. No one wants to change anything or sacrificing anything on their watch. Screw the people, screw the future. As long as I have mine, screw anyone else.
Nice Christian nation we live in (supposedly).
To summarize, I am sitting here listening to Bayh make no sense, and contradict himself in almost each new sentence.
And, on edit, to add - I am glad he is going to be gone. We don't need "Democrats" like him!

name his whole life. He has no spine, no answers, no good advice. At least he's man enough to know that he's not up to the task.

5. I don't belive this right wing meme for a second... |
|
... you know the: "Saying that you don't tackle this when the economy is bad - you wait".
The GOP and guys like Bayh would be saying this even if the economy was OK. It's always "we can't afford it". Always. No matter what.
