"An extraordinary degree of incompetence and arrogance, married together"
Fareed Zakaria on This Week.
I think he nailed it for this "administration".

2. Don't buy the incompetence meme
You thought a president's duty was to his country? Hah! That's so 20th century! Bush's job is to make his buddies rich. And he's doing just fine.

3. Agree with you completely on that one
If his goal was to protect the country, to make it better for the people then he could be called incompetent but those are not his goals at all. He has achieved the goals he was put in office for, the betterment of the upper class, his kind of people.

4. I agree with Incompetence.
We've all enjoyed our jokes about "Stupid" Bush, how he can't even formulate a complete sentence, as he mixes metaphors and similes.

For the longest time, I used to think he was just pretending to be stupid. It used to drive me absolutely out of my mind, because at the same time, he was getting everything he asked for out of Congress, he got himself into a WAR for God's sake how does a mentally defunct person pull that off????

Well, now I know the truth. They really ARE STUPID, both of them. Both Bush and Cheney. I know because I studied their histories very carefully, their past decisions and how those turned out.

They really are incompetent. The problem is, the system BEHIND them allows for all kinds of things going on, kickbacks, corruption, wars planned BY OTHERS. Bush and Cheney are really, really stupid though. Cheney has a history of bad decisions that you would not believe.
