Ever notice "The military option is on the table.", is only used against countries without nukes? |

Do you think countries that don't have nuclear weapons notice this? Do you think other countries who have noticed this makes proliferation of nuclear weapons more likely or less?
No one ever asks Bush or Senator Clinton or Obama or anyone if the military option is on the table when discussing Russia or China do they? Or even Pakistan. The question would be too silly to ask. Wouldn't it be?
Notice how fast the military option talk ended after North Korea tested one? All of a sudden the US wanted to make nice. Was that a coincidence?
Our policy of threatening military force by both political parties is increasing nuclear proliferation and the likelihood of a nuclear war some day.
Are they too stupid to realize that?

1. Oh yeah. Like typical bullies, they throw this threat (both parties) at |
|
countries that they don't think can fight back.
And then they get indignant when those countries get sick of being bullied and do something about it.
Sometimes their mouths engage and their brains don't.

3. Bush labels Iraq, Iran and North Korea an "axis of evil." |
|
Then Bush invades Iraq without UN authorization, even though they allowed in weapons inspectors.
Then North Korea tests a nuke and Iran seeks nuclear power plants.
Now Jordan and Saudi Arabia want nuclear power plants.
Bush is promoting nuclear proliferation.

N. Korea. We knew it, the N. Koreans knew it, and above all the S. Koreans knew it.
To employ any military action that didn't destroy everything along the NK side of the DMZ would invite massive death in S. Korea. The only way to ensure that would be to use nuclear weapons, and that would create its own set of problems, to be sure.
That leaves what? Russia, Kazakhstan, Britain, France, Israel, China, India, and Pakistan. His Honor has said that Pakistan's weapons are disassembled and neutralized; in case tensions ratchet up, they can be reassembled (he said this not because India wanted it, but because there was real concern that a "pious Muslim" working in the military could abscond with one).
As far as how successful nuclear weapons are in preventing military aggression, notice that Israel was involved militarily after they supposedly acquired the bomb.
