Minnesotans, is it in your soil up there? How do you grow these
incredible people that you send to the nation? I can't tell you how impressed I am with Betty McCollum. I've been watching her in these hearings, and no matter how mundane the topic seems, she nails the issue time and time again. She has an acutely tuned sense of justice.

Well done, you. Take a bow!

1. Betty is great.
But before you throw too many bouquets at us, keep in mind that we also have the execrable Michelle Bachmann -- the Katherine Harris of the North.

4. first met her when she was a North St. Paul City Council member...very sharp even then..
she may make a great congress member, too. I get to vote for her! and it's not like voting AGAINST somebody else!
Felt that way about Wellstone!

in fairness, as a previous poster notes, we have our share of lunkheads, too.

10. Minnesotans are great people. I have always wanted
to move up there, but never did pick up my roots and do it. Now in my old age the winters would be too cold..

12. I've always respected Minnesotans
Once, during a Reagan election, all of the electoral votes went Republican.

Except for Minnesota.
