1. All former Senators are entitled to the courtesy title, just as Governors and Presidents.

5. Mr. Santorum's source of income?
Wingnut welfare, of course. He's probably on some sinecure, or cushy board position that pays him six or seven figures a year for lending his name and "prestige" to their institution. Rick's institutionalized!

7. He's another blood sucking lawyer...
In March 2007 Santorum joined Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC. He will primarily practice law in the firm’s Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C. offices, where he will provide business and strategic counseling services to the firm's clients.

8. More often than not, they address people with former titles.
It's pretty much true in hearings on Capitol Hill too. People who were senators, governors, judges, what have you, are addressed by such titles.

I'm no fan of Santorum, but this is not necessarily special treatment he's getting.

9. Hell, I didn't call him "senator" when he was desecrating the office.
He didn't even live in PA! He's got his nice mansion in Leeseburg, VA and used a little shack in Penn Hills, PA as an excuse for the "residency requirement". He never spent a night in that shack but still used it to scam Penn Hills out of $100,000 for "cyber tuition" for his kids.

What a fucking scumbag. Now Toomey wants to be a Santorum Jr.
