Wow! David Corn just ripped some guy a new one! |
|
He was on MSNBC a short while ago, arguing with a former bushian (can't remember his name) over whether inspectors were actually present in Iraq prior the 2003 invasion. Actually challanged the guy to a $1000 bet live on the air regarding the subject, which the guy wouldn't take. Anybody else catch that?

1. Yep! Republicans think everyone is as stupid as Republicans... |
|
After all, how could anyone remember what happened 7 or 8 years ago? So, why not lie your ass off?

6. David Shuster - the host of the segment - also shot down Blakeman's lies. |
|
The Rs have their talking points and they stick to them no matter what. "Saddam threw the inspectors out" is right up there with "Washington cut down a cherry tree."
The media is complicit in these RW talking points becoming memes. They allowed it to happen and even took up the talking points as if they were accepted facts. So it was refreshing to see Shuster hammering away at Blakeman rather than playing the he said/she said game that is the media's default position.

3. My dumb ass sister still says that Saddam was responsible |
|
for the attack on the twin towers. And that Saddam had WMD's ready to blow us up. That they moved them all out of the country while our military was fighting them.
What does this tell you. Doesn't say much for our military, which they claim they support, that they could miss the so called thousands of WMD Saddam had in his country. And that they missed the (most have been a horrendous big movement) of getting them out of the country.
TELL ME HOW IN THE HELL CAN PEOPLE STILL BELIEVE THAT STUFF. And she says the deficit is caused by the democrats. Bush had a perfect score when he left office. He did not have a recession and the people had plenty of jobs. The Democrats lost them all. OH by the way all her radios are set to rush and the TV's to FOX.

5. At some point these idiots have more invested in protecting |
|
themselves from acknowledging they were duped and acknowledging how stupid they were, than they have in moving past denial to truth. Denial is an incredibly powerful force. As long as they have Rush and Faux news to enable them in their denials, nothing will change. Hell, look at how many people still argue that Elvis is alive..... One has to WANT to know the truth, I guess.
