Already: "Time to MOVE PAST" (why we got war. TENET's "revelations")
Edited on Mon Apr-30-07 09:30 AM by UTUSN
Yaas, we here have long detected the m.o. of Shrubbites adopting Orrin HATCH's trademark: "We need to stop looking BACK and look FORWARD." Best when HATCH puts on his Shirley TEMPLE pout in saying it.

That has always been the case. Starting with Campaign 2000, the word we were fed was that we'd better not "mess with Texas" by daring to give even a cursory glance at Shrub's pitiful record in a WEAK-GOVERNOR state, his only "accomplishments" being giving non-regulatory breaks to polluters and cashing in on sweetheart deals.

Then, from 2001 to 2004, the word was that Shrub was not responsible for anything happening because it was all CLINTON's fault.

Then in 2006, the word was that Shrub is NOT ON THE TICKET, that Dems need to stop with their "hatred of Shrub" and "offer something positive of their own".

It's always been so with Shrub: No responsibility, no accountability.

And now, TENET has been completing his own FLUSHING HIMSELF DOWN THE TOILET. The meme started Sunday, BEFORE the 60 Minutes interview: "Why NOW," as in, why did he wait to talk NOW?

And today that meme is transmuting into, "It's time to MOVE PAST" quibbling about WHY we got into this MESS. Shrub long ago said he doesn't care what history will say about him because "I'll be dead by then," showing again what lack of credence he gives to the Afterlife.

TENET himself deserves scorn and contempt, the way he RAN from day 1 to kiss Shrub's ass. May his "Medal of Freedom," or whatever the CHEENEE it's called, burn itself into his chest and hands.

1. Medal of Freedom is made from uranium purchased from Niger, as a constant reminder.

2. It's great to move forward, but no one can escape their past
It's called karma, what goes around comes around, you reap what you sow, etc.

3. Condi was pushing the same meme "this has all been looked into"
It is like a little song they sing without any tune and they all seem to know the words.

4. "Moving past" and "looking forward" is what got us into this mess in the first place (Nixon pardon)
Nixon should never have been pardoned, imo. The country NEEDED the accountability for Watergate, and we were denied it.

Same thing with Iran-Contra - no accountability,

Many of the biggest villains of this administration are thugs recycled from the Nixon and Reagan administrations.

We need to stop this shit now. Accountability NOW! Accountability isn't about the past, it's about the future.
