Email from Grayson -- His Medicare For All has FIFTY (50!) Sponsors!!!
Dear Mary Ellen,

We want Medicare.

So do 50 cosponsors of my bill, the Public Option Act. That's 50 cosponsors, after just one day.

This list of cosponsors includes five powerful Committee Chairmen: John Conyers, Nydia Velazquez, Barney Frank, Ed Towns, and Bob Filner.

It includes the Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, the Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and both Co-Chairs of the Progressive Caucus.

And of course, it includes public option champions Anthony Weiner, Dennis Kucinich, Jared Polis, and Chellie Pingree.

Now THAT'S momentum!

Let's keep it going.

Ask your member of Congress to sign on to HR 4789, the Public Option Act.

You can find your member of Congress and write your message here.

Onward!

Courage,

Rep. Alan Grayson

5. That's great news!
Medicare sure took good care of my mother when she was dying and had Home Hospice. They provided everything and we didn't pay for a single thing, including her medication from before she was diagnosed.

10. Unfortunately the motives of the House haven't really been at issue
for some time. It's the Senate that keeps screwing everything up. I'd be a lot more excited if there was any indication of Senate support.

12. It's my HOPE that if those in the Senate become aware of the support we're
giving those in the House, they will take notice and act accordingly. Especially since Grayson raked in more $$$ one month than anybody else did. If nothing else catches their attention, money will.

54 Senators publicly open to using reconciliation to finish health reform. It is actually 55 if you trust Joe Lieberman, which no one should.

20. Some won't sign -- like Harkin (Dean said) but will def vote for it. I spoke
w/Kay Hagen's office today and was told that although she hasn't made a statement, she has 'often' voted for public option in the past, which leads me to believe she may also vote for it, even if she doesn't sign the letter.

And Reid has already made it official that they are going to go ahead with reconciliation, has he addressed the PO do you know?

23. Unfortunately, my House rep at the moment is a slobbering Republican crook.
Might write a letter to one of my senators, though.
