Unemployment benefits extension---tax increase!
Need some feedback on this. Right-winger says "Obama raised my unemployment taxes to pay for benefits extension". Says it is nearly $40 bucks extra per week. I said your full of shit. I've checked my pay stubs and see nothing out of the ordinary. Anyone else have their friendly neighborhood wing nut spouting this bullshit?

3. I've checked snopes and politifact.
Nothing on either of them. They usually get their bullshit from the chain e-mails.

4. I'm glad your getting the benefits that you deserve, but I would just remind
those who think otherwise, that their taxes are paying for the two wars Bush started, and the biggest wealth transfer to the banks with your tax dollars.

5. My god isn't that the truth!
When do you ever hear those idiots crying about paying for their beloved wars or corporate welfare? But when the pied pipers of right wing radio get them fired up about helping their fellow working stiffs, it's the end of the world as we know it!

6. Because everyone knows that it's your poor or unemployed or sick neighbors who are...
sucking up all our tax dollars.:sarcasm:

Doesn't unemployment contributions go to the state?

7. Unemployment taxes are a state function, not federal.
And usually paid by the business in which someone is employed.
