The average number of troops that die in Iraq every day is 2.3.
The longer a president refuses to sign an immediate redeployment, the more lives that will be lost in vain.
Nancy Pelosi must occupy the White House as quickly as possible, for their sake. Whatever the reasons to impeach are - the wiretapping, the CIA outing, the war fraud - After all is said and done, this is the
bottom line for me. 2.3 American troops will die every single day.
How many people here have 2 children? Imagine waking up tomorrow without both of them. Mr. Bush is about to veto a bill that will pull the troops out
one year from now. That adds up to 839.5 lives. By the time the 2008 election rolls around, another 483 lives will be lost.
If the nation waits until November, 2008 to elect a Democratic president, at the very least
another one thousand, three hundred twenty two lives will be lost. That's not counting the time it would take to pass a bill and implement a troop pullout, and that's assuming the average remains constant, which it will not. (And it won't decrease, either).
Impeachment
can happen if enough people put pressure on their representatives. It is already starting to gain momentum, with prominent Democrats (Kucinich and Murtha) speaking out and the mainstream media starting to cover the possibility.
If you have not already contacted your representative, I urge you to do so as soon as possible. If you have, do it again.
To those who do not support impeachment, I give you a number:
