What's up with Americans?
I found this copypasta while on 4chan's /new/ - News imageboard. "They" in this copypasta is referring to the Teabaggers (The ones that gone stark raving mad when the health care bill was signed)

You didn't get mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a President.
You didn't get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.
You didn't get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.
You didn't get mad when the Pentagon misplaced $2.3 trillion.
You didn't get mad when the Patriot Act got passed.
You didn't get mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.
You didn't get mad when we spent over 600 billion(and counting) on said illegal war.
You didn't get mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.
You didn't get mad when you saw the Abu Grahib photos.
You didn't get mad when you found out we were torturing people.
You didn't get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.
You didn't get mad when we didn't catch Bin Laden.
You didn't get mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed.
You didn't get mad when we let a major US city drown.
You didn't get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.
You didn't get mad when the debt went up $5 trillion under Bush.
You finally got mad when.. when... wait for it... when the government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all ok with you but helping other Americans...

Liberals got mad at everything that Bush did, except for last sentence, the need for health care or at least health insurance reform is long overdue.

1. I rattled on at length in these posts (not to toot my own horn)

the last line of that quote is off, BTW: we don't have a right to see a doctor, we have a right to "get" insurance that doesn't really have to allow us to see our doctors

THey cut the last paragraph but that is probably a good thing as I was pissed off and really let the freeps have it.. It sure has gotten some mileage...

But in answer to your OP question.. the problem with Americans is they forgot how to turn off the fucking TV.

10. Read Bob Altemeyer's "The Authoritarians".

And you'll find your answer. You're talking about follower-types who have a very high tolerance for hypocrisy. They're practically immune to it. It doesn't enter into their thought process at all.
