Who the FUCK is training our soldiers? Are they getting trained at ALL? |
|
I saw a video clip on TV several times tonight. In this clip, an American soldier kicks open a swinging gate that leads to a courtyard somewhere in Iraq.
And, as the gate swings open, he stands right the fuck in the middle of of the gateway!
I almost threw up when I saw that. Does NOBODY bother to tell our soldiers, Hey, don't stand in front of a door or gate when you open it, because there might be someone on the other side of that door or gate with a rifle pointed at it waiting to shoot you while you're standing right in the middle of the opening?
God damn, it made my blood run cold. I sincerely hope it was a staged photo-op, because I would HATE to think that our soldiers aren't trained any better than that.
Or maybe the poor son of a bitch just had his judgment clouded by exhaustion because he's been there for fourteen months, thanks to Little Georgie Shit-For-Brains. Maybe he was just too TIRED to think.

I'm looking for information on soldiers being deployed straight out of boot camp without AIT. I googled it and can't find anything. Maybe I should check snopes or urbanlegends.com

They had articles of sick kids being sent back in the same article. Trying to think where else you can get it like I said it was about a year ago . I clean my post out about every six months. In Larry site you can still bring up old post .

11. Oh I was pissed I had a rant about it |
|
The forces being sent didn't get a chance to train that might be why so many kids are KIA or wounded the last two months

3. I heard a report on NPR Morning Edition today about military recruiting... |
|
and the reason why they are actually making quotas.
Essentially, they are taking virtually anyone, those who are not high school graduates, some who perform poorly on the entrance exams (whatever those involve) but are willing to be cannon fodder, and even some recruited from the criminal justice system.
It's way different from just eight years ago, when my nephew was supposed to be inducted right after his high school graduation. But because he had flunked senior year history (proving that the man who doesn't know history is condemned to repeat it...at least the course), his enlistment was delayed for more than one year. Thank the gods he spent most of his time sunning himself on Oahu and is out of it now.
The guy you saw may just have been dumb, or maybe he was exhausted. I know that I would be.

5. I heard that on NPR too |
|
Even the debate was talking about lack of training and equipment. Tonight two young turks from the Dems in Congress were talking about how the lack of training is killing our kids. Meek and Ryan on CSPAN.

:sarcasm: Urban training teaches soldiers to hasten breach
http://www.estripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=45528
By Seth Robson, Stars and Stripes European edition, Wednesday, May 2, 2007
HOHENFELS, Germany —
Blast-proof blankets and carefully placed explosive charges are allowing teams to enter buildings and walled compounds faster than ever during war missions, according to soldiers training at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center this week.
Twenty soldiers from throughout U.S. Army Europe are participating in a quarterly urban breach course that teaches them the latest ways to quickly enter buildings.
