Marijuana legalization initiative cleared for November ballot
Marijuana legalization initiative cleared for November ballot

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- California voters will decide whether to legalize recreational marijuana use for adults after the initiative was certified for the November ballot.

California would become the first state to legalize recreational marijuana if the proposition wins. It is legal to use marijuana for medicinal purposes in California and about a dozen other states, but the drug is illegal under federal law.

On Wednesday, the secretary of state's office certified that the petitions seeking to place the question on the ballot had enough voter signatures to qualify.

If approved, the initiative would allow those 21 and older to possess up to one ounce of marijuana and cultivate the plant in gardens.

2. Good News! More people ruin their health on alcohol than ever ever on Marijuana. It's
been another dumb law for years. Of course where I live it won't be legal for centuries the way they do things here. I should move...

3. Record Voter Registration
These kind of votes bring people out of the woodwork and the deep woods to register to vote.

This is not about Medical Marijuana which is favored by over 80% of Americans,

but MONEY TALKS and legal weed can be taxed, like alcohol.
