Sen. Bennet Adopts An Insult the "Left" Strategy
Yesterday I told you that Coloradans delivered a petition with over 35,000 signatures to Senator Bennet, asking him to stand by his word and force the vote on a public option.

The response from Bennet’s office?

Michael Bennet “doesn’t confuse the blogosphere with real people and real voters.”

When your running in a competitive Democratic Primary against Andrew Romanoff, this might not be your best choice of words.

6. He's wholly unqualified for this job
and needs to be thrown out.

He's a carpetbagger to boot. From the East Coast.

Romanoff knows the true issues facing Colorado today, and he is the only candidate so far to refuse PAC or lobbyist money. His campaign is entirely grassroots ala Dean.

Andrew will upset Bennet and win the general elections.

Now, El Supremo and Robb, will you be ordering crow?

I stood by my man, and my man won the caucus, and Bennet has nowhere to go but DOWN.

4. That is EXACTLY why I am not voting for the schmuck
My vote belongs to Andrew, and Andrew's alone.

5. Wow, an unattributed quote on a blog from an admitted non-supporter.
I'm looking for the original quote, if anyone can beat me to it they're welcome.

9. Guess again
I watched the video from the TV, it's not even a direct quote.

Keep trying, though.

10. Would you like me to ask David Sirota to clarify?
And see if he heard the same quote as we are all hearing?

11. Go for it.
You're repeating a paraphrase from a reporter, not a quote.

When Bennet actually speaks in the video, he reiterates the PO will get a vote in the Senate.

...Doesn't your candidate have anything to stand on besides smears?

7. I'm sorry, Mr. Bennet.
I didn't realize that using the internet to stay informed on the issues and to contact those who are elected to SERVE our interests made me irrelevant. You see, I thought actively participating in our democracy was a GOOD thing for real people and real voters to do. Silly me.

:sarcasm:
