The bottom line is this: Congress sent Bush a troop funding bill -- Bush vetoed that funding. Period.

As he did in his little veto address on television this evening, no matter how many times Bush uses the term "support the troops" -- he is the person most responsible for undercutting the military and getting this country involved in the Iraq debacle. It is pathetic that Bush uses "the troops" as a fig leaf to cover for his disasterous policies.

Bush's message to the troops is clear ... no money and no way home for you.
