I'm just worried it's going to take a body count to finally put an end to these tea baggers |
|
To me they are a hate group that uses terrorism. If this group was non-white, we'd have the CIA/FBI and Cable News all over them like shit on flies. Instead we have some media stations treating them like some sort of bizarro heroes or that democrats deserve what they get. I mean jeez, one of them flew a plane into a Texas government building and hit hardly got a blip on the map.
How many people have to die before someone starts really cracking down on this hate group.
I believe in free speech but these tea baggers are screaming fire in a crowded theater.

6. I am old enough to believe it will take a body count. It wasn't |

until Tim McVeigh for people to notice homegrown a-holes. It probably is going to take something like that and we better be ready to make sure the right side bears the fruit.

2. You wore that mini skirt so you were asking to be raped... |
|
That is the current mentality... you went against "what the people want" so you are asking for this. Stupid, I know. But how to combat it?
Free speech doesn't protect criminal threats... they need to learn the difference, and to stop with the bullshit "Johnny does it too so it's ok" meme.

5. I'd almost by that but that's 40+ years ago |
|
I could see if we did that a few years back when protesting the war but for the most part it was pretty civil protesting and very little bloodshed (on the part of the protestors)

the 1960s had REAL reasons for their outrage. The Tea Party reasons are pure fabrication.
And I don't feel activist groups in the 1960s were all that obnoxious considering we lost 50,000 men in the wrong headed Vietnam War. If anything the activist groups should have been even more "obnoxious".

4. You & others here on DU need to stop obsessing about the teabaggers and start worrying about |
|
the real issues this country faces like joblessness, homelessness, war overseas and global warming.
All these teabagger threads are nothing but a big distraction to keep everyone from talking about what's really important. :eyes:
Ignore those teabagging fuckers and they will disappear back into the hole they crawled out of.

7. according to RW pundits |

there is nothing to see here, move along. Was at townhall.com just now, and saw a few articles on this. Obviously, they don't see a problem and won't take any steps at all to curtail their fringe elements.
When somebody gets killed then we'll see GOP leaders make real efforts (no I don't think Cantor and Boehner are psychos who want to see their liberal colleagues gunned down in cold blood). But until that tragedy, this movement will build.
Gee, can't wait for November to roll around.

21. Sorry to say it, but someone has to die before anything will be done. |
|
It will probably take more than one death; a single killing will be dismissed as an "isolated incident" and/or paired with phony "violence from the left, too". After three, four, five, six killings by right-wing terrorists, maybe, maybe the media and political leadership will acknowledge the trend. Or maybe not.
