3. Any venue in which a bouncer decides whether I'm suitable for entry...
... is on no account, a venue at which I'll patronize.

The corollary, "anyone worth knowing" is probably not.

6. It really has nothing to do with "who" you are...
It's all about "what" you are.

Pft... I don't go to those places either, but I like how they keep the weirdos out of the places where us regular folk go;)

LA is a big tent city... I think it's exciting to have so many different kinds of people here.

But I was born and raised here, so no doubt my perspective is way different. I can't live without the climate, the beaches, the availability of everything you could ever want, anything you could ever imagine is right here.

7. ...everything except quiet, privacy and a sense that not everything is a commodity.
I lived there when I was quite young, and I praise the blessings of the FSM every time I return from a forced visit.

Do. Not. Want.

15. We all have our own unique perspective...
I've lived here 50 years and I don't ever want to leave. I have the best of both worlds... I work for an exciting company in downtown Los Angeles, but I live at the beach and spend time in the mountains too. I walk Huntington Beach every Saturday and Sunday morning, and it's very private, very quiet, and very soothing to the soul. The local mountain trails hold the same appeal. All that, and I can see virtually any band I care to see because they all come here. So, there are the three loves of my life, and I get them all en mass, right her in Los Angeles.

You and I can both hate something with a fiery passion, and that doesn't mean it's really bad... it's just our perspective.

I feel incredibly blessed that in the great Cosmic toss of the dice, I landed here... So Cal born and raised and feel like the Universe smiled on me.

23. Well, that's fancy clubs anywhere.
I think New York mighta invented the concept, but it also might be a thousand years old.

5. It sounds like quite the place for the family values party.
The comments were interesting. Besides being kind of smutty, the place sounds very superficial (only attractive people allowed in, etc). Perhaps Palin and Coulter could do a Republican Party fetish act there. That seems to be the way things are heading anyway.

16. You know...
Sounds like sour grapes to me... if you don't care, why do you care so much?

Jeez.

I don't go to those places either, but I don't begrudge anyone else or call their choices "stupid" because I "get" that perspective is everything, and it takes all kinds.

17. Never tlived in LA, but I' m with you.

I've lived on the east coast all my life but have lots of LA friends and from the time I've spent in LA and I think its great. Of course, I can see where some might not agree. I just don't get those who complain about not being able to get into a club that they say that they don't want to get into.

In other words, it's about as erotic as Disneyland.

3/30/2010 Wow!!!! The bus rolled up around midnight with a whole slew of baggers we'd picked up on the way from Wasilla. Needless to say, a great time was had by all!!! The baggers were really in their element, you betcha! Thankfully, I was perfectly dressed for the scene in a halter and some crotchless leather panties. After a few table dances,
me and Elizabeth Hasslebeck got up on the bar and did our routine, until Elizabeth tried to take charge and I got ticked off. She always does that. Anyhoo, the whole vibe was there from the naked girls and the BDSM themes, it was the perfect climax to our world domination tour, and the baggers all came away completely satisfied!!!!!
