Can someone tell me exactly when Victoria Jackson jumped the damned shark?
I had no idea that she was such a fruitcake. What the hell happened?

FYI: Someone sent me a video of her singing (sort of) that there was a Communist in the White House. Now Obama is many things but not in any universe is he a Communist. It's the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.

Did she fall from the stage and hit her head?

1. I learned about this on Friday. I'm still not convinced that it's not parody
I gave it a couple hours of thought and then abandoned it because that's all of my time it was worth.

3. You know, I wondered if it might be parody, but she was on the 700 Club (video on youtube)
Why? Just why?

2. She's been like that for a long time, but in retrospect
we could probably go back and deconstruct all those weird skits she did with Dennis Miller when he was practically slobbering over her. What a pair.

Did dumb blond roles.

Now she supports the Teabag movement.

6. When was she in the water in the first place?
I vaguely recall her on SNL and in that Weird Al movie.

She never seemed to get enough exposure for anyone to get a clue how she really felt about anything.

My guess, because no one cared to know.

She really *is* dumb enough to let a cat drive a car.

9. She did an anti-Al Franken ad in 2008. She's a nut.
Jackson, Robert Davi, John Ratzenberger and some other loon I can't recall did this unsuccessful ad for Norm Coleman.

28. And this is kinda funny to me...
Wouldn't Al Franken have been writing a lot of the material she was performing on SNL back then? Like she's mad that he helped make her famous so Faux News would give a shit about anything she had to say, anyways? Although, really... I encourage these people to use Victoria Jackson as their spokesperson anywhere and everywhere and quite vocally.

and I had no idea they were both rabid right wingers. She played the dumb blonde stereotype really well, come to think of it.

20. I remember reading an interview in the 1980's with SNL cast members who claimed she was nuts
because she was getting upset with SNL's anti raygun skits, the cast said she adored raygun. But then I don't know what mag wrote the interview I just remember it was well known that she was a raygun wing nut when she was on the show.

But as far as I can see, she's always been like this. Lucid enough to keep a job, but still batshit insane.

Sort of like Michele Bachmann, only loonier (if that's possible).

She plays dumb and ditsy. Marilyn Monroe did the same thing. So did Goldie Hawn. Though the last two did not pretend to be fright wing hatriots.

30. It's been since the late 80s or early 90s
That's when I found out she was barking mad. Then, like so many other wingnuts, 9/11 took the last vestiges of her sanity.

I think they held a funeral for her sanity, iirc. It was a *very* small coffin. Tragic.

31. Wikipedia explains it all.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Jackson

I thought at one time she was pretty talented. I have the X-Files appearance that she did on DVD and she is a pretty good actress. I also remember her doing some pretty good send-ups of Roseanne Barr on SNL. However, it seems the fundie has been in the girl all along.

how un-memorable her SNL skits were.

I can name probably 10 SNL members and some of the acts they were famous for, but she always played the dingy blonde in EVERY SINGLE SKIT. :o

35. Just a guess
Probably between her 1990 divorce and marrying a Dade County policeman in 1991. I doubt her Fundamentalist Christian views were a big part of her life when she had a part in "Casual Sex" (1988).

39. The first clue would be she has no discernable talent.
I never understood her appeal on SNL, other than being the stereotypical ditzy blonde, and not even a good one at that. Usually that's a sign of a celebrity wingnut. Even so, her batshitiness is a bit beyond the pale.
