25. Probably a good idea - I'd almost bet that the avereage bagger
would not be interested at all in "pulling over" a car that had some kind of 2nd amendment sentiment on it. They are complete cowards, if nothing else. OTOH, I am not sure I want them knowing that I carry via a bumpersticker, as I prefer it to be my last resort sort of deal. My first method of just avoiding conflict, or removing myself from a bad situation, works well.

More likely, if I was ever forcibly pulled over (which is the only way anyone else in vehicle could pull me over, ie by force), I'd use one of my other weapons, the law degree. And I'd figure out a way to really stick it to them. I probably have sued on personal matters only 2-3 times in decades, as most of the time the worst settlement can be better than the best lawsuit - unless someone comes after me first. Then it is my pleasure to give them an education on how the legal system works, and why I meant it when I said eithe there is nothing to negotiate, because you fucking don't have a case worth pursuing, or here is the best deal I can think of for the both of us.

Good luck with that! I suspect she wouldn't like the multitude of Bernie stickers either, or the many old, faded Howard Dean stickers still riding around on bumpers.

33. So that's why it's happening!
Edited on Tue Mar-30-10 09:39 AM by fifthoffive
Opened my paper yesterday and there were two reports of people with Obama stickers on their cars being assaulted by nuts. One was in my lovely Knoxville. This incident was a lunatic woman using her vehicle to block the car with the Obama sticker in a parking place and yelling at the driver.

The other was in Nashville and resulted in an arrest. A man with an Obama sticker on his car was driving his 8-year old son home when a man in a truck started following and tailgating him. Fortunately he was almost home before the man crashed into him. No one was hurt and a neighbor got the license plate number before the man sped off and called the police.

Thanks, Sarah!

40. Here's What You Do
Put (or keep) the stickers on your cars, and then PRAY that someone "pulls you over." When they do, roll down your window and shove your cell phone in the person's face and say, "State your name and address into the camera. And don't forget to SMILE!!!" Whether or not you actually HAVE a video camera in your phone is irrelevant. They'll think you do. And if there's anything that scares the bejeezus out of right-wing faux-tough guys, it's having their deeds exposed. My guess is that as soon as you hold up your phone, they'll turn tail and run (maybe even pull their coats up over their faces as they do it, like frog-marched criminals often do).

Personally, I can tell you that I still have my Obama-Biden sticker from the campaign on my car AND the "Yes We Did" sticker I got immediately after the election too. If any right-wing teabagger feels like pulling ME over, they're in for a hell of a surprise. I'll pull over willingly, and I'll also get out of my car willingly. I'm a 6'6, 300-lb. former college O-Lineman who's not afraid to mix it up a little. I also have a law degree and a solo legal practice, which means that after I get done with them, I'll be filing a lawsuit against them in Court the very next day for maliciously bruising my knuckles. Oh, and for false arrest too (which, by the way, this IS--wonder if Sarah Palin knows that she is encouraging people to BREAK THE LAW). And, by the way, since this appears to be a nationwide pattern of organized criminal activity with Sarah Palin at its head, I'll be alerting the Feds to the fact that a RICO case should be filed against the Teabaggers, the Republican Party, and Sarah Palin herself.

Maybe it's time the "Party of Personal Responsibility" started TAKING some responsibility for the evil they're unleashing on the world.

That oughta put me at serious risk here in CO. But hey, what's life without a bit of risk?
