Watching 'Enron Smartest Guys In The Room' on CNBC, It Reminds Me .... |
|
That What Ken Lay, Jeffery Skilling and Fastow were doing is exactly what the Wall Streeters have been doing.
No transparency, no explanation of how the derivatives work and were played, and when some were against the rocks they just stonewalled the public --who lost big.
Wall Street learned well from ENRON --and it is still going on as we learn that the TARP funds and other government funding was much larger than we were led to believe.

2. Enron's manipulation of the power industry cost Calif $30 billion .... |
|
and as I recall the Bush Administration made it impossible for Calif to void the extorted contracts which locked in sky high prices for years to come.
And as the film shows, Skilling stated 'The difference between Calif and the Titanic is that when the Titanic when down all the lights were on.'
Calif had no chance without the Federal Govt stepping and Bush was not about to help Calif.
