So we have video evidance of our military shooting civilians then trying to cover it up
Edited on Mon Apr-05-10 02:08 PM by no limit
and what is the lead story on CNN home page right now? The lead is "Tiger Woods: 'I've done some things that are just horrible'" followed by "Do they love their iPads?". In fact no where on the front page is this story mentioned.

Maybe the so called liberal MSNBC will have this? Nope, similar layout. Tiger Woods as the lead story and the leaked video is no where to be found.

I am absolutely disgusted by our media, almost as much as I am by the video itself. So this story will be burried like many others, and your average American will never hear of it.

On edit: If you search "wikileaks" or "wiki leaks" on any of these sites you get no results relevent to this. So it's not only that they don't want to put these stories on the front page, they are simply ignoring them outright. How insane and disgusting is that?

1. The nation would rather admit that Tiger was wrong than that we all were.
"We" being collective, not most of us here. The nation supported Bush's wars, and continue to support Obama's wars. Who wants to hear that we've all been guilty of killing civilians? far better to hear Tiger apologize for something. He's a skapegoat in the original sense of the word for society's ills. We want to face our guilt indirectly, not head on.

Again, "we" doesn't necessarily include us.

2. Corporatists didn't buy control of newsmedia in 80s and 90s to deliver serious news to the public,
they bought it to further the fascist agenda by delivering a dumbed down American public to the powerful elite of BushInc.

3. I can't imagine that KO will let this go. Rachel either.
MSNBC seems to distance itself from the comments of both Keith and Rachel. I will have to hear from you all what is said by either of them.

Comcast and all that. I can always wait until tomorrow and watch on their sites but I'll know from DU sooner.

4. Now that Shuster is gone, MSNBC is free to misinform and disinform.
It only took one day.
