As a former protestant, it seemed like we would just go across the street to the Presbyterian church if the Methodist church started getting weird.

Didn't the Pope, a few years back (JPII, I believe) say that Catholics shouldn't be watching/playing sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, soccer, etc.) on the Sabbath? That the Sabbath was the day set aside for God?
(btw, which "Sabbath"? The "Old Testament" Sabbath, viewed by the Jews, Saturday? Or the "New Testament" Sabbath, generally accepted as Sunday?)
