American Family Association goes deeper and deeper into the fringe with every passing day
A few months ago, the American Family Association's Bryan Fischer declared that the time had come to throw all Muslims out of the US military and prevent any others from every serving again.

So I guess it should not come as a surprise that Fisher is now calling for the deportation of all Muslims in the US along with a blanket ban on the immigration of Muslims into this country:

"The most compassionate thing we can do for Americans is to bring a halt to the immigration of Muslims into the U.S. This will protect our national security and preserve our national identity, culture, ideals and values. Muslims, by custom and religion, are simply unwilling to integrate into cultures with Western values and it is folly to pretend otherwise. In fact, they remain dedicated to subjecting all of America to sharia law and are working ceaselessly until that day of Islamic imposition comes.

The most compassionate thing we can do for Muslims who have already immigrated here is to help repatriate them back to Muslim countries, where they can live in a culture which shares their values, a place where they can once again be at home, surrounded by people who cherish their deeply held ideals. Why force them to chafe against the freedom, liberty and civil rights we cherish in the West?

In other words, simple Judeo-Christian compassion dictates a restriction and repatriation policy with regard to Muslim immigration into the U.S."

Who would have thought that Don Wildmon was the sane guy in that bunch, right?

1. I'm almost glad the right wing gets nuttier and nuttier every day...
The further to the fringe they go, the more voters they alienate and the less chance they have of being successful in November.

At the rate they're going, I wouldn't be shocked if we pick up a few more seats in the House and Senate.

6. I just got a sandwich...

...from the Jordanian guys at the corner store.
We chat once in a while when they're not busy.
These dudes don't seem to have a problem "integrat(ing) into cultures with Western values."
They've never said or implied anything that makes me think that they "remain dedicated to subjecting all of America to sharia law and are working ceaselessly until that day of Islamic imposition comes."
When the guy behind the counter made my sandwich, he did not appear to "chafe against the freedom, liberty and civil rights we cherish in the West."
In fact, they really seem to be thriving "liv(ing) in a culture which shares their values, a place where they can... be at home, surrounded by people who cherish their deeply held ideals."

I'll even take it one step further, Bryan Fischer, from the "American Family Association." (Ha!)

The guys who run the corner store where I got my sandwich appear to be much better, more compassionate citizens than you.
A block away, there's a housing project, and a big, regional high school. There are a lot of poor people in this neighborhood, mostly hispanic and african-american. Every day, their store gets inundated with bratty kids at lunch time and after school. (Is there any other kind of kid?)
I probably go into this store 3 or 4 times a week.
Almost every time, I see the owners extending credit, smiling at the bratty kids and old ladies, letting people off for a few cents or dollar here and there. There's one old lady in the neighborhood, who I see often and has some problems. A few weeks ago when I went in the store, she bought something, and I saw the guy behind the counter put several food items in her bag without charging her for them.

When was the last time you did something like that, Bryan Fischer?
Yeah, I didn't think so...

8. F the AFA!
Those fools promote nothing but intolerance of gays, Muslims, liberals, and whoever disagrees with their backwards-thinking anti-intellectual anti-science anti-Enlightenment agenda that is disguised as "making all American families mother and father and good ol' purely-minded boys and girls".

I'd like to know if there are any leaders of something like the American Atheist Association who has called on a deportation of all Christians (or religious people of the sort). :sarcasm:
