Is anyone else getting frustrated that all these real criminals...
people such as Blankenship and all the perpetrators of the financial meltdown and let's not forget the Bush Administration are all getting a big pass?

Nothing.

And yet a kid gets caught with a little crack and it's throw the book at 'em.

This country can't continue along these roads.

How long before people just give up.

I guess the travails of Tiger Woods and keeping up with the new class of "super models" is just distracting enough to numb our minds from really getting worked up about what is really going on.

I don't know.

Oh look, there's a new episode of Ax men on. I have to go see this.

It's awesome, Dude.......

2. Oooh, shiny objects!
I hear ya!

I've been frustrated at these developments for some time.

It is just plain WRONG that real criminals walk free, and the addicts aren't getting the help they need. Damn it anyway...

The powers that be must want us to be unaware of the really criminal activity, since they might be involved.

8. we are fed so much bullshit day after day after day that we, meaning consumers of dreck,
can't sort out what is important and what is trivial anymore.

It's just information overload...

7. Shit -- I'm still waiting for the Nixonian war criminals to be brought before the bar. . .
and the savings & loan financial swindlers of the '70s and '80s have yet to taste of justice.

Those are precursors of today's crimes, and the failure to prosecute them set up the mindset for a return to criminality in later years. And in all honesty, they weren't the beginning of the line, either. That beginning is well beyond any event horizon we can conceive.

And so Henry Kissinger ate well this evening and sleeps tonight with an un-furrowed brow, while John McCain -- who was instrumental in covering the asses of the asses who plundered so much from the S&Ls -- that ethical reprobate continues to spout nonsense about "fiscal responsibility" and the pressing need for "electoral reform."

9. It's just getting more and more prevelant...
So Bernie Maddoff and Martha Stewart go to jail while all the rest go free.

I still think Martha's problems originated because of her support of democratic candidates.

16. I agree with you. The fact that not ONE prosecution went to a bushie is UN AC CEPT ABLE
Yet so many just cheer cuz we won.

I am disgusted by such things.

But then, what else ought we expect from a crew who puts people on hit lists without legal process?
