Allentown driver shows sticky note, not license to police in traffic stop

Apparently a 23-year-old Allentown man forgot the drill -- you know, when police pull you over you give them your driver's license.

When the man was stopped on suspicion of traffic violations just before midnight Saturday at E. Clark and N. Godfrey streets in Allentown, state police at Bethlehem asked him to produce identification.

He gave them a yellow sticky note with a name and a date of birth on it, police said.

Police ran the name and date of birth in the computer, and the photo did not match the man in the car. Police said the man then gave them a different date of birth, and his photo and name came up on the computer -- Fernando Febles, formerly of Nanticoke, Luzerne County.

Febles apparently used a cousin's name and birth date on the note, police said. Police also learned Febles was wanted on drug and assault charges in Luzerne County.

5. Not if you have a sticky note.
Then it's smooth sailing, especially around 4th and Linden.
