California State University, Stanislaus
Just for kicks, I Wiki-ed the university that had contracted Queen Palin to..."speak,"...but the contract riders were found in the trash by students,...and the school is now being investigated by CA AG Brown, etc...

Among the notable whack-a-loons on their faculty, this guy stands out:

History Prof. (!) Richard Weikart: "his book 'From Darwin to Hitler' has been widely criticized by the academic community, but promoted by Christian creationists; "(The Discovery Institute), the hub of the intelligent design movement, 'provided crucial funding' for the book's research."

More faculty & Alum.

Poli-Sci Prof.: As'ad AbuKhalil – "The Angry Arab News Service blog"

Scott Eash: "Member of Criminal Justice faculty - lead researcher and member of the 'Lost Army Commandos' litigation team regarding Operation 34A (OPLAN 34A)" (case re: Vietnam)

Former Pres/Alum: Thomas 'Rico' Oller, Republican politician

Current Pres: Hamid Shirvani

Alum Gary Condit: "...cleared of Levy's murder..."

Alum Dennis Cardoza: successor to Condit; "...was a co-chair of the Blue Dog Coalition..."

_

Turlock, CA is represented by Republican Jeff Denham, and Republican Bill Berryhill. Federally, Turlock is represented by Republican George Radanovich.

Sounds like an interesting place for higher-ed. ;)

2. There's a reason the locals have referred to this school
as Turkey Tech for decades.
