"I like the fresh energy she bring...."
female Teabagger.

Fresh energy???? WTF does that mean? SP screaming is "fresh energy?" No ideas to organize around, only invectives and slurs. Cattiness and snark nonstop. Reminds me of a woman in a former workplace of mine. Didn't have anything worthwhile to contribute and spent considerable amounts of time tearing everyone else down. I have no doubt that other women, like me, recognize this behavior for what it is and it's not "fresh energy."

1. Reminds me of a friend I have. He owned the local bowling alley
Edited on Thu Apr-15-10 05:11 AM by SoCalDem
and it happened to have a LARGE Bar-lounge area which was never very profitable, so he was talked into having "events" there. It was not long before people were coming from all over to congregate there. he made a LOT of money at the door, but since the entertainment was of "questionable" nature and included a lot of real-life gangsters (Crips-Bloods & who knows what else), it was inevitable that "something would happen", and it did twice.. once a guy died in the parking lot from a knife wound, and then there was a shooting inside the club.

This owner said he liked the "energy & excitement" that the "young folks" brought, but his staff hated the mess & destruction they had to all clean up the next day, and then there was the bad press too.

Most of his actual bowlers fled the place because the place got such a bad reputation, and the city/county were all over him like white on rice to try & find any reason they could to shut him down.

We tried to tell him that a heart attack was also an "exciting" event, but not in a good way...and the luring of gang members from all over LA-SanBernardino-Riversive counties may be exciting, but it's also dangerous.

Eventually he did stop the club activities, but the long term damage to the reputation of the place was done and the place is now closed up..

2. You bet working women can spot that broad
and that's why her negative numbers are so high. We've all worked with one of them and the extreme dislike is visceral.

3. I can understand why horny Republican men are Palin fans
(imagine being married to Marcia Blackburn or Virgina Fox), but I can't figure out how the women are buying into this baloney. I heard some old crone talking about how "honest" Palin is. Right. So honest she didn't report the houses she built on property to the tax assessor.

8. Sorry, but that one is not going to fly.
Nothing sexist about recognizing what women know about other women and the way women traditionally have handled conflict. As a woman, I recognize a fighting style which Palin uses that is destructive and annoying. As a woman, I can categorically state that she is someone I will not accord respect based upon this behavior.

10. Where is the sexism, exactly?
We are talking about a dolled-up, empty vessel going around spouting hate and fear. What we admire here at DU are women of SUBSTANCE talking about important issues, and offering positive corrective steps. Think Rachel Maddow, Hillary Clinton, Sonia Sotomayor.

Sarah Palin is a know-nothing, hillbilly, former half-governor with NOTHING to say. What magazines do you read? ALL OF 'EM! Who's your favorite founding father? ALL OF 'EM!

12. Perhaps you can explain what sexism you've seen here
Has she been called names? Is anyone putting her down because of her sex? All I see are people reacting to what she does and says, just like they would react to what any man does or says. And when a women say they don't understand why other women like her, believe me that's not sexism. The reason they say that is because she's a very bad example of what women of substance do and say. Most women get her, and she ain't what she's claiming to be.

Women will say the same thing about any man who's as false as Palin is.

9. Gosh, maybe you could even have a BEER with her!
Fresh energy and a cold beer. What else could be important in a leader?
