From Where I Sit: Now that the Right is done with "Pro Life", they're throwing the Catholics |
|
under the bus.
This is because phony Pro-Lifers have been revealed as Lying Hypocrits and are now, therefore, a political liability and also because the Reich-wing Fears a genuine Pro-Life perspective that in - forms Economics and Social Justice, rather than getting tied up in the death struggle against Women's Right to Choose reproductive services.
The real Catholic Church, its people, will be the scapegoats for this current phase of our struggle, not its sick and obsolete hierarchy, which will withdraw further into its dysfunctional shell and, though completely ir-relevant, will continue to "survive" and influence those Catholics who have been abused by the bigotry that is flowing through our media. IOW, if you are mad at and maybe even hate the Catholic Church for what you think it is, you ARE propogating that thing that you supposedly hate by FAILING to differentiate between Lies and Truth.

1. Anything positive associated with a religion is due to its inherent goodness. |
|
Anything negative is due to a few bad actors and not a reflection on the institution itself.
Ye olde double standard.

AFAIK they're still hotly in favor of "life" of fetuses. What changed?

What is the Catholic Church without its Pope and Bishops? Aren't those protestants? Seriously, I really don't understand.
