10. I can't think of anything other than the bombing of Coventry Cathedral. But it looks like a flood.

28. That flood was THAT and more...the river Arno can be quite violent.
This particular church got the worst of it.

The sewage in the streets and houses was a real problem, as you can imagine. I don't know how the Florentines escaped dire health and disease problems...30 people died, tho, mostly in the rushing water, by drowning. Many thousands of old books had to be rescued and dried out page by page. Quite a story in 1966...
