but really, why would we want to get back to it? Although to many it appeared bright and sunny, there were storm clouds on the horizon.

14. Aren't we still stuck in Reagan's America?
Jobs are still being shipped overseas, the debt continues to get bigger, the mantra of "Every man for himself!" is still hovering over this country like a cloud of pollution.

17. Had to turn it off...
just couldn't take it - I realized I was muttering so loud that it was hard to hear Brownback.

When I turned it off and my family cheered. It was poisoning the air of the whole house.

19. But Guiliani gave a good salesman's answer: optimism.
People will want to feel good about the US again. I think the candidate that accomplishes that will win. It is unfortunate, but people would rather not think about our problems and the misery we have caused.

20. It's the lesson that all successful politicians learned from Jimmy Carter.
Tell the truth, ask for sacrifice = you lose! (Carter/Democrats)

Sell Bullshit = Victory! (Reagan/Republicans)
