"Cows should eat grass, right? This seems like a no brainer, but we had to fight to make sure organic dairy cows have access to pasture. We won, but now we need to let the USDA know that consumers expect the same thing for cattle that are raised for beef.

Can you let the USDA know that you expect organic beef to come from cattle that were not confined in feedlots?"

3. It's not enough for it to be healthier for humans, it should be humane for the poor animals.

And anyway, people should stop, or at least substantially reduce, their eating of beef. It's bad for the environment and does not make sense if you look at the cost/benefits.

chopped beef for meatballs. i always buy "grass fed".
