A stimulus money story
Our Alaska CDC (Community Development Corporation) has a program where people with low incomes can have energy audits and any found problems fixed by working crews of construction people without the burden of front money or even paying back the grant that funds all the fixes. Low income families or singles like me can get windows, heating and water structures and insulation problems fixed. I could never afford to have this done like this without the program. I was going to fix one thing at a time as I could. Now it will be done for no cost to me. (There is something about being older and retired.)

I was listening to the a-holes on the teevee and so I called Alaska CDC asking them if this was part of the stimulus money the president had pushed through. It is. I told them I wanted to make sure my thank you letter got to the right people. I also thanked them for the hard work they did helping people with their problems.

I am sending a thank you letter to Obama and to them. It may take a while for them to get to me -- I sent my application in right away so I have my fingers crossed-- but I wanted you to know that the stimulus money that is in every state is working for people like me. Check your state for the same kind of program. It may be something your state is using it for.

God bless this program and Obama for helping people like me.
