2. Wondering what really happened on that day beyond the horrible obvious?
Who else was involved? I don't believe that Nichols was the only other player.

16. Couldn't have been too many...
There might have been maybe three or four others. If the conspiracy had been too large, someone would have cracked and leaked or someone would have been an FBI mole. This act was only successful because the number of conspirators was small. It doesn't take too many people to pull off what they did. The FBI sifted every grain of sand after the bombing and couldn't produce anyone else. If the FBI could have gotten more "scalps" they would have done it for the good publicity.

6. Do you think it's funny for groups to get together on this day to fight for a terrorist's cause?
Fight idiocy with idiocy.

Except in these gunbaggers' case, it's insanity.

28. No, I don't think you should tolerate them, however....

What choice do you have,... but to fight stupid with stupid, -or- "idiocy with idiocy"
That's the whole point of being progressive right? We need to MOCK THEM MORE THEN THEY MOCK US, that will teach them a lesson, make me look smart, AND achieve my goals.

Way to lower the bar, .........noted.

5. Reading Gore Vidal.....
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x6683764#6691179

<snip>

Vidal became a supportive correspondent of Timothy McVeigh, who blew up the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City in 1995 killing 168 people. The huge loss of life, indeed McVeigh’s act of mass murder, goes unmentioned by Vidal. “He was a true patriot, a Constitution man,” Vidal claims. “And I was torn, my grandfather (the Democrat Senator Thomas Gore) had bought Oklahoma into the Union.” McVeigh claimed he had done it as a protest against tyrannical government.

</snip>

and again I say..... :wtf:

7. FYI, This is the anniversary of The Battles of Lexington and Concord. You know
the birth of the American Revolution. The domestic terrorist McVeigh may have chosen this date to do his horrible act but I chose to remember the TRUE significance of this date.

8. Waiting to see the documentary tonight
to see what this sick bastid had to say. I remember the day real well as it was not that far from me to where I could see some of the bullshit that happened next like the vilifying of the brown skinned people when in truth none of them, news readers and law enforcement, had any idea as to who and then it turned out to be one of our own homegrown white boys. Did any apologies follow, not many that I heard.

32. I agree with you. I will also add that this is a time for conscience and bravery.
Those two things are needed when dealing with the anger and hatred that the Teabaggers emit with every sign and speech.

33. Other!
Watching Rachel's show about the incident, thinking about the victims and 'praying' for them in my way, and being grateful that in this case, the system worked (too late) and that SOB is dead and can't hurt anyone else anymore...and also being aware that the next example is just around the corner.

The US WILL be hit by a tragic, fatal terrorist event again soon, I'm sure of it, and it's way more likely to be by the hand of a "nice" short-haired straight military Christian white boy than by any of the other groups we're taught to fear.
