Is the President so foolish to think he can take on Goldman Sachs?? |
|
And Wall Street?
Goldman Sachs just hired his former White House counsel, Greg Craig. He has Obama's phone number. So says Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC.
Does he really want to tangle with these guys. They have a lot of money at their disposal. A whole lot of money.
If he cannot get Republican help to make some rules for these unethical characters, then it will happen again. We will crash just as we did in late 2008.
The White House cannot permit this to be between Goldman vs the White House. There are even bigger banks than Goldman involved in this scandal. Republicans and Democrats need to come to an agreement about how to handle this? This is one time they do need to work in a bi-partisan way.

I think it was dailykos that figured it out -- there will be a limited and calculated dustup meant to help Obama politically. Then it will be business as usual.
