Boy! Does this put Frd. bills in perspective! Total Fed tax revenue is
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_tax_revenue_by_state

$2,674,007,818,000.

Yea I know that's a big # but how do you feel NOW about bills that are to cost several billion? decided ti look up how much the tax revenue was per year to get a perspective of just how much $$ they're playing with in DC. I guess now I have to check how much the Fed expenses are in relation to this.

2. Here's the best interactive graphic I have seen that explains the federal budget
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/02/01/us/budget.html

Really, there's not much to play with except the Defense budget. (25% of the budget)

3. That's how Clinton got the surpluss. We had no wars, the cold
was was over and he cut a lot from the defense budget. All would have been fine except that Shrub decided he wantede 2 wars! THEN he decided he wouldn't make it part of the Fed. budget! Obama put the cost of the wars in the budget and is accused of blowing a lot of money!

4. After looking at those charts, I wonder if everyone paid something per paycheck, wouldn't
national health care actually save money? From what I saw there, we are already paying $789 BILLION un some form associated with HC. assuming 300 million people thats $263 per person...BUT it doesn't include what we already pay for healthi insurance and the $97 per person already paid by retirees for medicare. I honestly believe we could reduce the per family cost and still pay Dr's & hospitals the rate they are currently making under a national HC syustem.
