Seems that would be a great way of proving the point that not all immigrants are scary brown people.

Some are scary Canadians.

He's probably too chickenshit though.

3. He is NOT chickenshit. And I am not a Suns fan. But I am a Steve Nash fan.
To do what you would wish him to is not courageous but foolish.

5. Steve Nash is not a chicken shit.
He spoke out against the Iraq War and he praised the election of Barack Obama. Not many NBA stars are political, but Nash hasn't chosen to remain silent. I trust he will make a statement.

8. is he more chickenshit than every other person in Arizona who wasn't born in the US but goes to work
tomorrow?

Are all of the naturalized Latino immigrants who go to work tomorrow also chickenshits?
Are the other two members of the Suns and the three members of the Portland Trailblazers who were born outside the US also chickenshit?

Grow up.

10. He's not chickenshit...
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/2003/all_star/news/2003/02/07/nash_war/

He was against the war in Iraq, and vocal about it, in Feb 2003.

That's before there was a war in Iraq.

He may not feel as strongly about your pet issue, but that doesn't make him chickenshit.

Sid

12. He's playing in a city that just said FU to all "foreigners"
Did Bill Russell ever play in Jim Crow towns?

When the Celtics played in the Deep South, Russ would take the night off; and Red respected his decision.

What's the difference?

Hint: Bill Russell wasn't a chickenshit.

ps: There's been a war in Iraq since 1980. Learn some history.

15. Was responding to your post that said "that was before there was a war in Iraq"
Iraq's been involved in wars since 1980, and the US has had a role in that region longer than that.

22. When you expect others to do endanger their livlihood you really should have
already done the same yourself, no matter what your job is. Otherwise ............ you just look chickenshit. imo.

24. So that justifies wanting him to do something even the OP wouldn't
do? He's not working there illegally, he has a contract. Nash has founded programs to help children in the U.S., Canada and other areas, spoken out about things others haven't and now he should give up his dreams because he's Canadian playing in the U.S. He's convenient though ........ always someone else to trash whenever things get bad, even better if they're from Canada.

Sad you put so much responsibility on a Canadian playing in the NBA.

Is this the best mechanism for change? It all lies in Steve Nash's hands???

Your country is screwed if what you believe is correct.
