The GOP will allow debate on finance regulation but... |
|
the bill still needs to be settled and voted on which is ... another filibuster opportunity! Whee.
And then they have to combine it with a house bill and vote again! More great filibustering fun! Whoopee!
The GOP isn't done trying to stop this bill by a long shot.
They'd better keep those cots around. They will probably have to use them before long.

3. I hope they do continue to filibuster. It makes them look bad on a subject of clear consensus. |

6. I'm sure that's why they filibustered even having a debate. They know it will make them look bad. |
|
The debate will be a torture for them if they spend their time defending Wall Street even as they try to portray that as keeping the government out of Main Street.
Debate it long and loud. If they want to filibuster the final vote or the conference bill, that will be frustrating, but rewarding in November. :)

our side needs to strengthen the bill. No loopholes for the thieves. The bill should be above reproach. Let the dumb fuck Republicans filibuster to their heart's content. Eventually they will be forced to cave and vote for what I pray is a good bill, not some HCR-like monstrosity.
