Of all the Gov't agencies responding, where's FEMA? |
|
Didja notice? No sign No mention of FEMA, not even in the news discussions of helping people out of low lying aeras of marsh. Plenty of Lisa Jackson of EPA, and Napolitano of "DEr Homeland" Security..
not one peep out of or about FEMA.
May be a smart move on the Pres's part, keeping FEMA the hell out of La. and the Gulf.

Screw FEMA. The moment FEMA shows up, you can rest assured people are being screwed.

3. FEMA has nothing to do in the current gulf crisis |
|
It doesn't directly involve the well-being of people, thus absolutely no reason for FEMA to be involved.

5. Why would FEMA be involved? FEMA has no capacity to clean up spilled oil. FEMA only becomes involved |
|
after an area with a human population is declared a national emergency (by the President).

7. Quite frankly, after watching them respond to |
|
Hurricane Hugo here in SC and then to Katrina, it's probably better that they don't show up. Clinton had the only halfway decent agency.
It needs to revamped and renamed. If I was in a crisis and was told FEMA was showing up, I would hide.
