Anyone here working for the Census? |
|
Just curious, since I now am. Took the exam about a year and a half ago, finally got a call three weeks ago. Had to turn down the first job offer as I was out of town, but could accept the second one, and I'm now employed about thirty hours a week doing clerical stuff for them. It's not bad.

I'm an enumerator now. I did the update/leave section too. I think I'd rather be doing this than back in an office. But it is pretty good work, although a bit disorganized for the amount of money being spent I think.

He's also in the office working clerical. They're getting 10+ hours of overtime per week. He's a retired teacher and its his first time ever in an office setting.

Another enumerator here. Had one guy claim that the government is training a lot of people for the census and then not using them just to run up the 'employment numbers'. Well, at least I am employed for awhile.
