Elisabeth Hasselbeck can be a polarizing personality, to put it mildly. Attacking public political figures is one thing. Attacking one of America's favorite sports reporters, Erin Andrews — who was recently the victim in a very public criminal stalking case — crossed the line with a lot of viewers. Hasselbeck now regrets this decision.

Tuesday, on Hasselbeck's show "The View," she questioned Andrews' choice of attire for her "Dancing With the Stars" appearance.

She even suggested that an outfit like the one Andrews was wearing could possibly have put Andrews in a situation like the one with her convicted stalker Michael Barrett, who is currently serving two and a half years in prison.

6. Hasselbeck is a woman who appears to have led a sheltered

life. She has likely never been exposed to some of the harsh realities that are part of some people's daily lives. And she judges everything using a very narrow frame of reference.


If she had ever been stalked she would know it has nothing to do with ANYTHING the victim has done.

7. I really dislike Hasselbeck and don't watch the View anymore, however

she DID apologize, and she DOES seem to be sincere in her apology. That's about all we can ask of anyone, really, to recognize and respond when oneself has screwed up. She did, so I give her a kudos this once.

That being said, if they get rid of her, I would probably watch the View again, as I do when she is out, if I'm aware that she's out.

Joy Behar is at LEAST as controversial, and probably more. I don't want to see shows that only parrot my partisan views. I'm happy to see shows that include diverse perspectives. Yes, she screwed up on this one, but anyone on air virtually every day will do so. Using this as a pretext to "dump Elizabeth" would be pretty lame, in my opinion.

Yes, she offers a RW point of view, often right off the RW talking points. But she is not dumb, and she is sincere.

Believe me, Elizabeth is the last thing we need to be concerned about. And, we always have Joy (I love Joy), and don't forget Whoopie--whose I.Q is probably higher than any of the rest.

People say things on TV that I don't agree with, and sometimes it's offensive, but that doesn't mean they should lose their job. It's an opinionated show. We're not always going to agree with what they say.
