Greg Palast - BP - Much worse than imagined.
Randi Rhodes had Greg Palast on today.
He scared the shit out of me.
BP was responsible for making sure the oil from the Exxon Valdez never came near the shore.
They did that of course by doing absolutely nothing to prepare for that event.
Unbelievable.

2. Yes, I am
Sufficiently scared shitless for the Gulf and the future of the planet. I think we've passed the point of no return.

3. On human and animal scale it is too late to save the gulf
and the likelihood is that, again, for the animals on this earth, we've likely screwn the pooch. The cold comfort is that the earth doesn't count time like we do so it will recover and in a few million years some other sentient may be digging up fossils of Homo sapiens. It is very cold comfort.

4. This needs to go straight to the president's desk.
And people need to know that he has read it. We need to see his response to this ugly truth.
