3. I know someone that did just that.
It was always a dream of hers to live there. So she retired early to live in Paris (she passed away there).

7. Sigh. It is the most beautiful city in the world.
Up close or from a distance....Plunk me down anywhere, and I'll walk for miles, loving every corner of it. (With many stops at cafes and bistros and open air markets and...and..)
I repeat:
Sigh.

Best trip I've ever had, and I've been all over the world. I literally cried when I had to get on the plane to come home.

11. I was in Paris one August
And it was hot as hell. There was about 100 people in that fountain in front of the Eiffel Tower. Some had bathing suits, some had just stripped down to their drawers. I thought it kinda funny how some older guys were in their Fruit of the Looms that were transparent after getting wet and they were showing off their plums while their kids played nearby.

12. What is that building
that looks sort of like the Taj Mahal?

I've been to Paris twice, both more than 35 years ago. First time I spent a week at Christmastime with a French family. Second time, about six months later, was a week on my own. That second visit I went out to Versailles on what must have been the most beautiful day in May for a hundred years. I don't know when I've seen such a perfect day.

13. Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Paris, commonly known as Sacré-Cœur
"The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Paris, commonly known as Sacré-Cœur Basilica (French: Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, pronounced ), is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Paris, France. A popular landmark, the basilica is located at the summit of the butte Montmartre, the highest point in the city."
