...as predicted by Pat Buchanan. This is not new grassroots brilliance. The teabaggers have a message that most Americans don't want and the Republicans have no message. Their party is in mutiny and they think they can outmaneuver a party led by Barack Obama? Bring it!

1. Immigration
Isn't making people of either party particularly happy right now.

3. It's All Sorts Of Wedges...
Immigration is one of them, "government spending" is another, gay marriage is yet another is "the gubmit is taking away yer guns". It's a polyglot of right wing talking points and wedge issues...all wrapped in a blanket of hate and ignorance. No substance, just hate. No positives, just rile up "the base" with buzzwords, dogwhistles, strawmen and hyocritical hysterics.

Just like the GOOP thought their opposition to GMA in '04 made the difference in winning those elections, they've been trying hard to do the same with "immigration" (translation: damn Mexicans) for the past 3 with limited results. They've amped up the hatred in hopes of keep their fractured base together, but are biting their nose to spite their face as we'll soon see an energized Hispanic electorate ready to show not only their "papers" but also their voices at the ballot box.

Teabaggers aren't grassroots...it's been manufactured by Dick Armey and other black ops and spread by corporate hate radio...not a blade of real grass in sight.
