I Could Be a Tea Partier--(almost) |
|
I remember that I admired Ron Paul for his stand against the Iraq War. So where does the tea party movement stand now regarding our continuing wars which are hemorraging our blood and treasure? If they could be as vehement against that waste of taxpayer money as they are against giving people decent health care, I would listen to what they have to say.

1. It's really hard to tell what the teabaggers stand for, other than their hatred |
|
of the current president. I don't think they are even that much against the waste of tax payers money, as they are opposed to giving money to things that do not directly affect them.

2. The tea party "movement" |
|
is about as momentous as any movement I have in the morning. They are based on an irrational hatred of anything not fed to them by their messiah's.
Fuck em' they are a much smaller and much less influential pack of assholes than any media outlet, hungry for controversy, will ever let on. I hope these nutjob pieces of shit continue to knock off more moderate (slightly less slavering idiot) Republicans.
Shit, I think we may even be able to take KY for the Dems now that Rand Paul is the puke candidate. Utah is still fucked, I give up on them.

I think there are two different "tea parties" these days, the one that Ron Paul started, and the new one that simply hates anything to do with democrats and President Obama! The problem that Rand Paul is going to have is trying to please both of these tea parties. If he isn't into "hate" and anger, he isn't going to do well with the "new" bunch of teabaggers

Tea baggers are all about emotion, hatred, and anger, not about policy or consistency and they hope the cliches and yelling will be enough to hide their vacuous non-positions.
The Tea Party does not present any ideas or coherent policies. They define themselves by whom they hate (the same boogey-man...gays, Libruls, commies, socialists, hippies, gypsies, art people, musicians not in Nashville, media, etc).
Paul's stance against the war was a good one, but it did NOT come from a moral perspective. Liberals are against the war because we think killing people to obtain their resources is morally wrong. The Paul movements is against the war but certainly not because it involves killing little brown people across the globe.
