This is Trivial but it's driving me nuts: Do you think for one second that if Lindsay Lohan was not

a pretty famous female she would be cut yet more slack by a judge to have evaded, for the third time, showing up this morning Los Angeles County court, after two alcohol violations, two cocaine violations, driving under the influence of both coke and alcohol, possession of cocaine, reckless driving, aggressive driving incident (road rage), blowing off rehab, and offering as a defense, "I'm busy in Cannes, my visa was stolen."

How many times could you ignore showing up in court for major drug offenses without being punished or charged or even monitored? Zero is my guess.

If I had to show up in court, you can be your ass I would stay in town and make sure I could show up.

Don't get me wrong: I have a lot of compassion for Ms. Lohan, especially because her family is so insane, and she needs help. But it's not fair and it doesn't set a good example to ordinary people who face similar tough lives to see this woman cut break after break, for three years, while other non famous people are going straight to prison for minor drug offenses.

Just pisses me off. Maybe I'm out of line, but thanks for letting me vent.

1. of course not..
It's a shame she's such a mess. She's Liz Taylor pretty and pretty talented too. It would be nice to see what she could do if she wasn't such a basket case.

4. How did the judge cut Lohan slack?
A bench warrant was issued for her, and the judge is threatening mandatory jail time because of the non-appearance.

Is there something more recent indicating special treatment?

Agree with the post about her talent. She's very pretty, and a good actress when she shows up. I heard Jane Fonda told her to get her shit together when they were working together on a movie. Jane explained that the whole cast and crew is inconvenienced when they show up for work, get made up, and can't do anything because Lohan isn't there.

She really should get it together. She'll turn out like Corey Haim if she doesn't. :(

5. Arrest Warrant issued for Lohan.....
http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/05/20/lindsay.lohan.arrest/index.html?hpt=T2

A Los Angeles judge issued an arrest warrant Thursday for actress Lindsay Lohan and revoked her probation after she failed to appear at a hearing.

Shawn Chapman Holley, Lohan's attorney, said the actress lost her passport and was unable to fly back to the United States for the hearing.

Holley later said Lohan was issued a temporary passport by the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France, on Thursday and will fly back to the United States as soon as possible.

Judge Marsha Revel ruled there was "probable cause to believe (Lohan) is in violation of probation" from a 2007 drunk driving conviction.

7. What were the "major drug offenses"?
She was arrested for DUI and cocaine possession. A major drug offense would be getting stopped with a few kilos in the trunk.

That said, there's a bench warrant out for her arrest, not sure what else you want the Judge to do, maybe send Delta Force over to Cannes to pick her up?
