Head of Toms River faith-based military academy charged with possessing child pornography
http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2009/07/toms_river_faithbased_military.html

The owner of a faith-based military camp for children in Toms River has been charged with possessing and disseminating child pornography.

Steven T. Baryla, 27, of Toms River, was charged Tuesday with possession and distribution of child pornography after a month-long multi-jurisdictional investigation, said Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford.

Baryla, president of the Cedar Bridge Military Academy, is accused of viewing child pornography on his computer at the academy and sending at least one photograph to an unidentified person via e-mail, according to the complaint. The photographs showed children engaged in prohibited sexual acts, the complaint said.

9. Seems to make sense
One of religion's pillars is sexual repression and aversion to male and female genitals and the naked body. When you live your life indoctrinated into this completely unnatural way of thinking, being forced to deny and ignore your sexual nature, the pressure builds and builds (pardon the euphemism). Instead of being able to learn and experience sex normally throughout your years, all the various emotions involved with sexual experience are pushed deep inside. Your sexual maturity never develops. When all those emotions inevitably are released this kind of perversion almost seems typical.

Just another reason why the mythology of ancient tribes is unfit to exist in the modern world. It really, truly, FUCKS people up.

7. What I want to know is:
"engaged in prohibited sexual acts"

How do they define sexual acts that aren't prohibited in photographs? (I get that kids masturbate, but we all know people shouldn't be photographing them do that)

11. What is the use of such an academy in the first place?
We do not have a faith-based military in this country, despite the fundamentalpatients' best efforts to take over the Air Force Academy. If someone's going to run a military academy, shouldn't it at least somewhat resemble the military?

The comment above about terrorist training camps being "faith-based military academies" is spot-on.
